Over the last couple of years, we have run our Prep Orientation Day in Term 2. This year will be no different. Our Prep Orientation Day is scheduled for Wednesday 29 May, starting at 9:00 am. Already this year, we have had a very great interest in Prep for 2020 from our community. The early orientation day is well placed to help inform our parents of what to expect, particularly those who are ‘first-timers’ in the state school system. I ask if you know of any prospective Prep parents who might not be aware, please inform them of this date. We have it in the newsletter, on our website and on our school sign, but word of mouth is also a very good method of advertising. The orientation discussion usually lasts for 60 minutes, followed by a tour of the school and then morning tea in the after school care room. We will have it all complete by 10:30am. Our Senior Leaders will be on hand at the office and the gates to direct parents to the library. Later in Term 4, we will also run a Prep Experience Day to allow students to be in a Prep class for the morning. We have done this for the last couple of years and it was a great hit with our parents.
